Why I Left the Field of Therapy

I began my career as a licensed psychotherapist, but I left that field not because it didn’t help people, but because it didn’t go far enough.

Therapy gave insight. What I wanted—for myself and for my clients—was transformation.

Many of the high-functioning individuals I worked with were navigating complex, internal pressure points that traditional therapy couldn’t fully reach. They didn’t need more insight into their past. They needed frameworks that could meet them where they were—at the edge of real responsibility, leadership, and influence.

So I stepped outside the clinical model to pursue cutting-edge systems that go deeper: ones rooted in neuroscience, internal systems, somatic regulation, and developmental psychology. This isn’t coaching layered on top of therapy. It’s a different path entirely—built for people who are ready to move beyond self-optimization into a more integrated kind of leadership.

My Methodology

My approach integrates four deeply informed frameworks, designed specifically for high performers who’ve already tried most conventional tools.

  1. Pattern Transformation through Internal Systems Work: I use an Internal Family Systems lens to help you identify the inner “drivers” behind your success and your stress and begin leading them rather than being led by them.

  2. Nervous System Regulation for Sustainable Performance: Drawing on Polyvagal Theory, I help you recognize how your body responds to pressure, and how to access steadier focus, clarity, and ease—even in high-stakes environments.

  3. Somatic Intelligence and Mind-Body Integration: Your body holds data your mind doesn’t always access. I teach you how to read physical signals as guidance for decision-making, boundaries, and energy leadership.

  4. Developmental Growth through Spiral Dynamics: This framework allows us to map your leadership evolution—so we’re not just “solving problems,” but expanding how you think, lead, and influence as the stakes grow.

This integration creates transformation at the source, not through more effort, but through aligning how you’re wired with how you lead.

My Path to This Work

This isn’t just what I do. It’s the work I’ve committed my life to.

Long before I became a coach, I was drawn to the questions behind the questions—the patterns beneath performance, the tension behind success. I began as a therapist, but I’ve spent decades going deeper than diagnosis or emotional support. I’ve pursued the systems and practices that actually help people change at the root—without compromising their edge or who they’ve worked so hard to become.

I’ve kept my practice deliberately small so I can go deep with each client, not just skim across dozens. That pace allows me to keep evolving too—which means the work stays alive, sharp, and real.

For me, this is not about growth for growth’s sake. It’s about helping people come into alignment with what matters most—so their success no longer costs them their peace, and their impact finally feels like home.
