THRIVE STEPWISE™ | Module 4
An 8-Step Program to Transform Your Life from the Inside Out
STEP four: Partner with Presence
Practicing presence or mindfulness positively impacts your nervous system. When you are constantly amped up and on high alert, you keep your system in a state it is not meant to be in for more than a few moments at a time. By practicing presence, you will learn to regulate your system so that it can return to equilibrium more easily.
MODULE 4 WORKBOOK
Begin by downloading your workbook that contains a summary of your lessons, links to research articles, and more. Don’t forget your practices and resources in the resource section below the videos.
Be certain to download each lesson notebook (found beneath each video). Research shows that taking notes while you listen will help you retain and integrate what you’re learning. This will help you make the most of your time here.

YOUR RESOURCES
Download this mindfulness assessment to see how mindful you are currently, then take the assessment again in a few weeks to see how things are going for you in the area of mindfulness.
This practice calls for your body, heart, and mind to be fully engaged in whatever you doing. It is an exercise in presence, being in the now rather than dispersed, stretched, scattered or preoccupied.
The purpose of this exercise is to take a number of intentional pauses throughout your day to pay attention to your breath. This practice cultivates your capability to be present and grounded in your wisdom
Prayer is another way you can practice presence. This worksheet offers simple instructions. If prayer is important to you, try this method.
This document contains 6 pages of research regarding mindfulness. If you want to go more deeply, take a look.
This takes you to the guided meditation I do with you in lesson 3. Use it anytime for more clarity and energy.
